The theoretical analysis of ethical leadership lapses: A disturbing concern about school leadership in Botswana

چکیده

A school is the only place with a formal and legitimate mandate of duty care for learner. Schools are expected to be nurturing environments free abuse, exploitation, violence, bullying, humiliation, discrimination, harassment, negligence, cultural stereotypes, emotional distress, socio-economic marginalisation moral prejudices. Some concerns about governance ethical leadership in schools therefore inevitable. Drawing from Eurocentric Afrocentric theoretical perspectives, this article discusses lapses practices Botswana deliberate focus on systems. Secondary data drawn media government reported cases growing systemic social decadence. It argued that unethical conduct education system country heightened by lack an Africanized code educators double-dipping public officers. The recommends indigenized research approach governance.   Key words: Afrocentrism, eurocentrism, leadership, conduct, good governance, research, Ubuntu/Botho.
